We are delighted that GWC are introducing online entry this year, so much more efficient and cheaper than postal version. We also will be taking up the option of an online fundraising page which will enable us to painlessly approach all our relatives and friends. No hiding place now for them!!

We are delighted that the original 13 mile race is to be reinstated this year. A much more interesting route with fantastic scenery all the way, even THE BAD BOG mid-way has been missed - nearly!

On 18th August, while ascending Ruadh Stac Mor, I saw various walkers and runners coming from the Shenavall direction - was I hallucinating? An hour later, I arrived at A'Mhaighdean summit ( my 150th Munro)and lo and behold I saw more figures crossing the causeway at Carnmore! Days later I googled "Great Wilderness" and came across this website, which reassured me I was not seeing sprites and goblins that day!!

Just clocked your website for the first time. I remember walking this path in reverse several years ago - a superb long day in really dramatic surroundings. Must say it felt longer than 25!! Some day I would like to enter your event and do it the "right way".
