Inverness bus driver Alex Mackenzie, one of the GWC’s most prolific fundraisers of recent years, reaches Everest Base Camp on a recent expedition in support of Highland Hospice. Alex has completed the Challenge on eleven occasions, and is now the 4th highest fundraiser overall in the event. This epic is the latest of several world-wide fundraising projects he has undertaken in recent times for the Hospice, others including  the ascent of Kilimanjaro, a 250 mile bike ride through the Canadian Rockies, and The Inca Trail in Peru.
