Darren Macrae passed away suddenly at his Inverness home on Monday 18th June, aged 29 years. Darren, a native of Laide, was an accomplished piper and popular local personality. He played at the GWC every year since 1994, notably at the Corrie Hallie starts in the morning, and then joined up with the band in Poolewe throughout the afternoon. He will be sorely missed by us all, and our thoughts and condolences go to his parents and siblings at this sad time. |
