Phew! Just recovered - what a tough but inspiring event! Full marks to all organisers - fantastic planning and best atmosphere ever. Looking forward to sampling Poolewe also . . . . The "KC Gang" completed the 18 and 8 mile walks. Many sore limbs but warmer hearts. Love to do it again. Other than that the experience was fantastic, interesting and friendly folk to walk along side and the sound of the pipes to draw us back to spendid refreshments. Our S&L Young Carers team were led home by our 2 young carers taking part - well done boys! Posted by allan on 23 August 2011 18 Mile Run First half of this run gave a false sense of security, which deteriorated rapidly on the return section. It was like running on a giant soggy mattress full of muddy holes! Apart from that, it was an amazing run with some fabulous scenery, particularly over the Bealach. Well done to the organisers.
