The GWC committee send their sincere condolences to the family of the late James, who died on Wednesday 17th August in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, from injuries sustained following a mountain accident on Friday 12th on Beinn Tharsuinn Chaol in the Letterewe Forest. Also to the Dundonnell Mountain Rescue team, assisted by Torridon Mountain Rescue, who struggled heroically through the night to locate James, attend to his medical needs, and stretcher him to safety. James was himself an esteemed member of the Dundonnell team, and an accomplished climber in his own right.
